From residential curbside recycling to industrial recycling programs, Land and Lakes has the capability of meeting all of our customers’ recycling needs.Our experienced staff works with businesses and municipalities to design and operate recycling programs that will significantly improve their waste handling needs. Additionally, our residential curbside recycling programs offer opportunities for private individuals to help improve the environment by recycling reusable products.
With our recycling and transfer facility located in Chicago, Illinois, Land and Lakes has made a commitment to renewable resources. Our facility processes and recovers thousands of tons of corrugated cardboard, paper, household plastics, wood, aluminum and steel, which are then sent to secondary markets for reuse.
In addition to recycling man-made materials, Land and Lakes is the largest yardwaste processing company in Illinois. With our five state-of-the-art composting facilities located throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, we process hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of premium finished compost product that is sold in bulk or in bags for the general public’s use.
