Village Green Center is a 130-acre area designated by the Village of Pleasant Prairie to become its new town center. Land & Lakes Development Co. controls a significant portion of this area and has been selected by the Village to spearhead the planning efforts for this mixed-use development. The site is located immediately east of Village Green Heights, a 200-acre residential neighborhood also developed by Land & Lakes Development Co.
Village Green Center represents an exciting opportunity to create an identity for the village -- a place with a “main street” atmosphere. Land & Lakes Development Co. is proposing a neo-traditional plan with a combination of residential and commercial uses. The streets will follow a traditional grid pattern and the buildings will have minimal setbacks with architectural and design features of pedestrian scale.
To evoke a town center feeling, a gathering space with architectural elements is anticipated. Single-family homes and town homes will represent the residential component. In the commercial area, retail shops and/or restaurants with 2nd floor office and/or residential space will line the streets. Parking will be available on the street, convenient to the stores and restaurants.
