Asbestos
Services
Land and Lakes’ staff works closely with customers to determine the hauling and disposal requirements for their asbestos waste. Through phone interviews and review of Asbestos Waste Profiles, our staff categorizes the waste, with special attention paid to the source of the waste and the removal techniques, and approves it for disposal. As a licensed asbestos waste hauler, Land and Lakes can assist our customers with their hauling needs for their asbestos waste, and our non-hazardous, municipal solid waste landfill is permitted to accept friable and non-friable (Class I and II) asbestos waste. Once the waste has been approved for disposal, the customer is issued an acceptance certificate allowing them to dispose of their asbestos waste at our landfill. Our professionally trained operators specially prepare an area of the disposal site to receive the waste. This area is maintained to contain the asbestos waste in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. In addition to the disposal of asbestos waste, Land and Lakes can assist our customers with the transportation of their asbestos waste to our landfill. Transportation of asbestos waste requires specialized training and specific control procedures. Land and Lakes ensures that customers are provided with the proper containment boxes and locking systems for their asbestos waste. Our staff of professional drivers is equipped to safely and efficiently transport asbestos waste from the point of generation to the disposal site. Throughout this process, our compliance experts can provide assistance to customers in completion of the required Waste Shipment Records and Waste Profile forms to ensure proper documentation and tracking of their asbestos waste.
